Exercise of The Week: V-ups aka Jackknife sit ups
This is the final Ab exercise for the month and the last exercise to be added to the 30 day challenge coming up. This exercise is called the V up, or the jacknife sit up. This exercise may look simple enough but it is a whole other ball game when you are actually doing them. Just keep telling yourself “these are great for my abs” as you curse my name for suggesting these. So how do you do these?
Start off my laying flat on your back with your hands above your head and your legs together and slightly off the ground. You should look like A. Now exhale and as you do raise your arms and legs up into the jackknife position. You should now look like B. You should pretty much look like a V. Make sure that you are contracting your abdominal muscles to get the best results from this exercise. Inhale and slowly go back to the starting position. That is one rep. Add 1-2 sets of 10 to your regular routine. Don’t forget to check back so that you can get your 30 day challenge!
