Exercise of The Week: Dumbbell Floor Press
You don’t need fancy equipment to get a great arm workout in. This exercise just uses a set of dumbbells and your floor! Yet, you are going to engage your chest, arms shoulder, and core….lots of stuff for such a simple move 🙂 Now how do you do it?
Take your dumbbells and lay down on your floor. Easy enough, right? Now raise your dumbbells straight up above your chest. You should now look like A. Now, lower your arms until they touch the floor and pause. You should now look like B. Press the weights back to starting position. That is it! that is one rep. Do 2-3 sets of 10.
See, it’s a simple exercise yet it is very effective. And the best part of this exercise is that you can do it in the privacy of your own home. There is nothing wrong with going to the gym, but I know sometimes it is hard to get out of your own house. If you can sneak in 15 minutes at home, I would consider it a victory!
