Exercise of The Week: Hip Cross Over

hip cross overHey everyone, I apologize for the lack of posts this week. We got hit with a bunch of snow Monday and several hours of my day included trying to shovel our cars out. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that shoveling snow doesn’t count as exercise…they are Nutters! Anyway that is the main reason why I chose this exercise…you get to do it laying down!  This exercise may look way too easy but it is actually wonderful for your waist line! So how do you do it?

Lie face up on the floor with your hands out to your sides facing up.  Raise your legs off the floor so that they are at a 90 degree angle. So far so good. If you did that you should look like A. Next you are going to tighten your abs and lower your legs to the right side while maintaining that 90 degree bend to them. Make sure you come down to a point that is comfortable and your shoulders don’t lift off of the ground. You should now look like B. With this same movement you are going to come back to starting position and then lower your legs to the left side. You should now look like C. That is it, that is on rep! Do at least 2-3 sets of 10. See it isn’t very complicated, but it is very effective.

I like to joke that I am "a well of useless information" but for once I can share that information with people that might want to listen. I love trying new things and now I have an audience to share it with...hopefully. I hope you enjoy what you read :)
