Exercise of The Week: Dumbbell Chop
This week we are going to work with some dumbbells. This is one of my favorite exercises to do while watching the Walking Dead T.V show…yes I workout during the commercials and it is zombie apocalypse themed. You need to make exercise fun and my zombie workout is fun 🙂 Anyway this workout targets the waistline and it is not really complicated.
Grab a dumbbell (5lbs if you are just starting) and hold it with both hands. Raise your hands above your shoulder just like in A. Now swing the dumbbell downward and to the opposite side of your body. You should look like B. Reverse the movement and go the start position. That is all there is to it. That is 1 rep. Do 2-3 sets of 10 on each side. See not too bad!
